Huub Smit in "New Kids Turbo" (2010)

The New Kids were already well-known before they got their films, "Turbo" (2010) and "Nitro" (2011) both of which are posted on my blog now. They started in 2007 as a series of online sketches then a television series followed which was sold to commercial channels like MTV and Comedy Central. 

"New Kids Turbo" was the highest-grossing Dutch movie of 2010. Set in the small village of Maaskantje in North Brabant, a group of friends: Gerrie, Richard (Huub Smit), Rikkert, Robbie and Barrie lose their jobs and decide not to pay for anything anymore. They steal beer and food while the police try to put a stop to them.
