Middle aged couple, Ennis (Brían F. O'Byrne) and Christine, a deaf-mute woman have five children. He's devoted his whole life to his farm and his family, but over time their relationship began to collapse. She was becoming more and more withdrawn and increasingly moving away from her husband and spending less time with her children. He tries his best to maintain the relationship, but it will all lead to a tragic outcome.
