A naked, dead man lies on a dirt road, his clothes are found neatly folded nearby. A bracelet identifies him as a patient of a clinic. The deceased, Bernhardt Schmidt (Detlef Matthes) was being treated by Dr. Kleemann for alcohol addiction, using a holistic, homeopathic approach. Mrs. Schmidt receives the news of her husband's death extremely calmly, but it turns out that they had been separated for a long time.
